The Historic Congressional Cemetery with Lauren Maloy

In 1807 this historic burial ground in the new federal city was founded. Its close proximity to the seat of government made it the resting place for Members of Congress, military and government officials and Washingtonians both famous and infamous. Learn more about the “residents” of the Cemetery and ongoing preservation efforts.
