Capitol Visitor Center Opens December 2, 2008

The United States Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) opens to the public Tuesday, December 2, 2008. The new facility adds 580,000 square feet and provides visitor amenities including a cafeteria, restrooms, two gift shops, historic exhibits, and two theaters featuring a 13-minute orientation film. All tours of the Capitol will originate from the Capitol Visitor Center.
